Explore a welcoming new destination for readers in Georgia's Golden Isles

There's a lot to love in one of the Georgia coast's newest book-stores. Righton Books is a sunny shop in Redfern Village, a retail area where you're as likely to discover your next great read as you are a gourmet balsamic vinegar (you can do that at Golden Isles Olive Oil, just across the parking lot). Anne and Darryl Peck opened the store in 2019 and named it after Anne's father, who traveled to the beaches of St. Simons in his youth. While they have a wide variety of literary offerings, a highlight is the impressive selection of beautifully photographed art and design books, all of which are perfect for gracing coffee tables and giving as presents. There's also an enormous cookbook section that you can escape to for a few hours-or maybe a whole day.
